Our Commitment

Youtilz is designed with your privacy protection as a priority. We believe you should be able to use online tools without sacrificing your personal data.

No Cookies

Local Processing

For these tools:

• Your files never leave your computer
• We have no access to the data you type into them
• Nothing is stored on our servers

Tools That Use the Network

Five tools need the internet to work, and their page says so:

• IP analyzer: your browser queries ipify (api.ipify.org) to find your public IP address and ipapi.co to geolocate it. An IP address you enter is sent to ipapi.co.
• SEO analyzer: the URL you enter is sent to a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify), which downloads the page to analyze it.
• Broken links checker: your site's pages and links are fetched by a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify).
• Drupal version detector: the address you enter is sent to a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify), which downloads the page and at most three public Drupal files to look for clues.
• SPF and DMARC checker: the domain name you enter is sent to Cloudflare's public DNS resolver (cloudflare-dns.com), or to Google's (dns.google) if it does not answer.

Youtilz does not keep these addresses. Its server functions only use your IP address to limit the number of requests, in memory, without storing it.

Contact Form

If you write to us through the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to Netlify Forms, which forwards them to us. We only use them to reply to you.

Report Requests

Under the results of the SEO analyzer, the broken links checker and the Drupal 7 migration estimator, you can ask to receive a report or an estimate by email. Only if you tick the consent box, the following are sent to Netlify Forms, which forwards them to us: your email address, the address analyzed, a summary of the results and the language of the page.

We use them only to send you the requested document and to contact you about it: no newsletter, no resale. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. They are kept for at most three years after our last exchange.

Data Collected

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. This service only collects:

• Pages visited
• Country of origin (based on IP, not stored)
• Device type (mobile/desktop)
• Traffic source (search engine, direct link, etc.)

We also use Umami, which does not use cookies either, to count page views and two events: clicks on the links to the services of Youtilz's publisher (DG Tech, StudioMaestro), and report requests. An event records the tool concerned and the link destination, never what you typed. If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" signal, nothing is counted by Umami.

The links to DG Tech and StudioMaestro carry the name of the tool you come from (utm_ parameters), so that these sites can count the visits that Youtilz sends them.

Browser Local Storage

The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember your preferred language, and some tools use it to save settings, limit the number of requests or resume an interrupted link scan (for 24 hours at most). This data:

• Stays only on your device
• Is never sent to our servers
• Can be deleted at any time via your browser settings

Hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify (San Francisco, USA). Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP address, requested pages) for security and performance reasons. These logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to access your data
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure
• Right to data portability
