Why Youtilz?

Processing happens in your browser

When you paste text into a tool marked "100% local processing", the computation is done by the page's JavaScript code, on your device. Your data goes to no server, not even Youtilz's.

No storage, no sharing links

Youtilz has no "Save" or "Share" button that would publish your data on a server. What is never stored cannot leak.

No cookies, no ads

The site sets no cookies: that is why you see no consent banner. It shows no ads, which would require trackers. The audience is measured without cookies, without recording anything you type.

The tools that need the internet

Some tools cannot work without the network: to analyze a site, it has to be downloaded. They say so on their page, and here is exactly what they send:

• Broken Links Checker

  Your site's pages and links are fetched by a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify), which returns their HTTP status. The URLs are not kept; your IP address is only used to limit the number of requests, in memory. If a scan reaches the request limit, its state (URLs and results) stays in your browser, for 24 hours at most, so that you can resume it.

• Drupal Version Detector

  The address you enter is sent to a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify), which downloads the page and at most three public Drupal files to look for clues. It only returns these clues. The address is not kept; your IP address is only used to limit the number of requests, in memory.

• IP Analyzer

  When you run an analysis, your browser queries ipify (api.ipify.org) to find your public IP address and ipapi.co to geolocate it. If you enter another IP address, it is sent to ipapi.co. Nothing is sent to Youtilz servers.

• SEO Analyzer

  The URL you enter is sent to a Youtilz server function (hosted by Netlify), which downloads the page to extract its tags. The URL is not kept; your IP address is only used to limit the number of requests, in memory.

• SPF & DMARC Checker

  The domain name you enter is sent to Cloudflare's public DNS resolver (cloudflare-dns.com), or to Google's (dns.google) if it does not answer, to read its public DNS records. Nothing is sent to Youtilz servers.

Check it yourself

1. Open your browser's developer tools (F12 key, or right-click then "Inspect") and show the "Network" tab.
2. Use a tool marked "100% local processing": format some JSON, compute a hash, generate a password.
3. No request carries what you typed: you only see the page loading and the audience measurement.
4. The code that runs is the one your browser downloaded: it is readable, even minified, in the "Sources" tab.
